During the week commencing 9th February, we will be celebrating STEAM Week, with a range of exciting activities focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths. The week will encourage curiosity, creativity and problem-solving across the school.
STEAM Week will begin on Monday 9th February, with a whole-school assembly featuring fun experiments and the theme “Curiosity: What’s Your Question?”
On Tuesday 10th February, pupils will take part in a Safer Internet Day assembly, exploring this year’s theme: “Smart tech, safe choices – the safe and responsible use of AI.”
On Wednesday 11th February, Year 4 pupils will present their experiments at our annual Science Fair, and parents are warmly invited to join us at 3:20pm.
Pupils will also enjoy a talk from a pilot and engineer, and families will be invited to take part in a maths problem-solving sessions during the week.
STEAM Week will also include a number of educational visits. Year 2 and Year 5 will visit the Science Museum on Tuesday 10th February and Friday 13th February, while Year 4 will visit the Young V&A Museum on Thursday 12th February.
On Friday 13th February, Year 6 will visit Heathcote Secondary School for a computing taster session.
